I've been doing a candle burning ritual in Memory of my Sister.

Even though she was a baptist, she really liked burning incense and scented oils as a form of aroma thearpy. She also liked to relax on her patio garden. 

She's the one who got our Scrapbooking group started. An aunt, cousins and sisters all got together to scrapbook and share stories.

My lovely sister passed away yesterday. She was a very caring, giving person. She'd been a nurse for many years before taking disability. She'd been ill for a few months now. But her sudden death is hard. I know she's not suffering. She just turned 62 in August.

She was a great daughter, mother, wife and sister. She was always there with love and support. I'm gonna miss her.  She leaves behind one daughter and three grandchildren and her loving husband. Also six sisters and three brothers. Many neices and nephews.

We took in our Grandson's part lab dog a few months ago. She had killed a duck and the guy who owned them threated to kill her. She was put in our kennel with our Yellow Lab. She became an excape artist. It became a weekly occorence. Last Thursday was the limit for me. After getting a call that both dogs were out and a neighbor had them, I went to pick them up. I tried to get them back in the kennel and they got away from me. I finally tracked them down in another neighbors yard...after they'd been in his pond. He was a really grumpy old man.

I told my husband I couldn't keep getting calls to pick them up and they were almost picked up by animal control. I took the lab mix to our vet. Asked them to put her down. I said I can't even get the local humane society to take her...because she tares up the pen. I was really upset to have to go to this extreme. The vet's office later called me and said they'd found someone willing to adopt her. That's when I knew...the goddess was helping.

I didn't want to tell my Grandson I killed his dog. I was able to tell him, she found a new home.

I found this cute little shelf at the local thrift store. The label on the back said it came from a Studio in New Mexico. Now where can I hang it.
